Pet of the Week - Dolly
Published on Friday, November 28, 2008Email To Friend    Print Version

Dolly

Dolly is a friendly, affectionate lady who is about 10-years-old. She is a beautifully brindled mixed breed with a long slender muzzle, peppered with white hair.

She loves going for walks and will gently paw at the door once a leash is slipped on her in quiet anticipation of the joy to come. She is a mellow, loving and happy girl who just wants to share her life with someone special. She is polite and very well behaved. Dolly mixes well with other dogs and people of all ages.

She was brought to the shelter as a stray and what she really needs now is a comfortable bed and some company.

Senior dogs make wonderful pets, they settle in very quickly, they are generally less energetic and playful than in their youth, they focus well because they are mellowed and are easy to train, and are less likely to chew. Adopting a senior is a rewarding experience for all involved.

This elegant lady deserves some love, but at the shelter she cannot compete with those cute pups and energetic youngsters all vying for a home. She wants to feel safe and loved in her twilight years. Meet her and you’ll be smitten!

Meet Dolly and her kennel mates at the animal shelter on North Sound Road in George Town or call 949-1461, or visit www.caymanhumanesociety.com
