UK Flexes Its Muscles
At their meeting this week, it is reported that the UK will demand that the Cayman Islands government drop its opposition to implementing the European Union's (EU) savings directive and comply with the EU crackdown on tax evasion.
The Leader of Government Business, Hon McKeeva Bush, along with Financial Secretary George McCarthy are currently meeting in the EU's headquarters in
Brussels with UK treasury minister Dawn Primarolo and other British officials.

Person of the Day - Malcolm Ellis
Malcolm Ellis is an information systems manager by trade, but an actor at heart. He has been Chairman of the Cayman Drama Society for the past two years.
"I have enjoyed live theatre since I was a child. My sister took me out to see some live theatre when I was very young, and I fell in love," he said.
Mr Ellis first charmed Caymanian audiences at Prospect Playhouse when he played George in
Who's Afraid Of Virginia Wolfe. "In my teens I worked behind the scenes. When I came here, I decided I was going to give this a shot, and I never looked back."
