Fight For Friday Night

Concert promoters and nightclub owners are now squaring off in the fight for Friday nights, with the battle taken up at the Liquor Licensing Board's last quarterly meeting.  The Chairman of the Liquor Licensing Board, Mitchell Welds, said "his eyes have been opened" by comments made by a local nightclub owner about how nightclubs suffer when large international concerts are in town, especially when the performances occur on Friday nights... read more...
