Status Unlawful?
The Cayman Islands Cabinet may have acted unlawfully last year in granting Caymanian Status to at least some of 2,850 people, according to a legal opinion by one of Britain's leading barristers, David Pannick, QC.

High Christmas season hopes met for retailers
Cautious optimism turned to good results as retailers around the Island reported a slightly better than average Christmas season.
"We saw a 31-and-a-quarter percent increase over December," reported Shervin Wood, Manager of Deals. "It's been a pretty good year. The economy has been good."
