Mexico's President Attempts To Control Media Advertising
Hard on the heels of the decision by the Cayman Islands Cabinet to ban government advertising in Cayman Net News, comes a similar situation in Mexico, where the Organization of Ibero-American Journalists (OPI) has expressed its concern after President Vicente Fox urged federal officials not to offer state advertising to media that fail to perform their function "correctly."
