Royal Cayman Islands Police (RCIP) Commissioner Buel Braggs made crime prevention and reduction the main topic of discussion at the Chamber of Commerce's monthly luncheon held at the Wharf Restaurant on Wednesday.  In addressing Chamber members, Mr Braggs said, "We recognised the need to change the organisation's culture of reacting to incidents of crime to a more proactive approach."...  read more...


Offshore Alert newsletter takes aim at The Ritz-Carlton Developer again

Despite having a libel action commenced against it in the Grand Court following an earlier article about Ritz-Carlton developer Michael Ryan, Miami-based KYC News has again taken aim at Mr Ryan in its February Offshore Alert newsletter.  Some of the latest information published by Offshore Alert was derived from court filings by Richard Friend in the Miami-Dade Circuit Court as part of litigation between Mr Ryan and his companies and Mr Friend, who says he was Senior Vice President of the Ritz-Carlton (Cayman) development firm from 1998 to 2000... read more...
