CayPolitics Stalled
The website of CayPolitics, Cayman's on-line political forum and news journal, has been off-line for almost a month now, but publisher Ellio Solomon says he hopes to have the site up and running within a couple of weeks.
Mr Solomon said he did not know exactly when the server would be up again. "I don't have a specific timeframe, but I'm hoping it's going to be very, very soon. Hopefully, around the first week of April."...

Fine Art At Kirk Freeport
Kirk Freeport in George Town was last week the host to visiting porcelain artist Tamás Vecsey. With daily demonstrations of his work, Mr Vecsey has been on hand to consult and sign any purchases from the Herend porcelain factory in Hungary.
He also gave a demonstration of his outstanding talent as a special session at the National Gallery on Friday

Major Increase In Air And Cruise Tourist Arrivals
Both air arrivals and cruise ship arrivals experienced significant increases during February when compared with the same month in 2003, according to statistics released by the Department of Tourism.

Cayman Free Press shareholder to avoid default by making bond payment
Media tycoon Conrad Black's holding company said it would make an interest payment on a $120 million bond before the end of a 30-day grace period on 30 March.
Toronto-based Hollinger Inc failed to make the interest payment, believed to be about US$7.4 million, due 1 March on the senior secured notes. But it said it was not in default before the grace period expired... read more...
