Here Comes Batabano
Registration
for the 2004 Cayman Carnival Batabano band, Saschay Bon Mas Band, launched at
the Office Lounge in George Town on Wednesday, 7 April. Saschay Bon’s
theme this year is Cayman 501, our Cultural Mixx. There will be nine sections
of the band, of which four have already sold out. Particular sections of the
band will feature themes portraying a multi-cultural mix, including Europa,

Leader of Government Business, Hon McKeeva Bush, on Tuesday, 6 April, at the

C&W Adjusts Some Mobile Plans
In
response to last week’s ruling by the Information and Communications
Technology Authority (ICTA) that its rates were anti-competitive, Cable &
Wireless raised rates for several of its Cayman Islands mobile telephone plans
last Thursday. Last Wednesday, the ICTA issued a statement saying it
found that four of C&W’s postpaid plans, one of its three prepaid plans and
three of its mobile international direct dial (IDD) rates failed to satisfy
the required imputation test...

Digicel,
one of the three mobile telephone service providers in the Cayman Islands,
issued a statement last Thursday welcoming the decision by the Information,
Communications & Technology Authority (ICTA) in finding some of Cable &
