Court To Review Status
The
Caymanian Bar Association (CBA) has been granted leave by the Cayman Islands
Grand Court to pursue its application for judicial review of the lawfulness of
the wholesale grants of Caymanian Status by the Cabinet in 2003. This
means that the judge considering the CBA’s application for leave for such
review (believed to be the Chief Justice) has agreed that there is at the very
least an arguable case to put forward at a substantive hearing of the action...

Cayman Islands Humane Society has welcomed two new staff members to its
shelter. Andrea Braun, has taken up the role of Manager and Jackie Zelaya, has
been appointed Trainee Assistant Manager. Ms Braun, originally from
Germany, has spent the past nine years training as a veterinary technician in
the United States. She has also worked with animals at various zoos in

Begot
Since
arriving in the Cayman Islands earlier this year, keeping his feet on the
ground has not been a priority for Jerome Begot. As a helicopter pilot,
Jerome spends most of his working day in the air pointing out Cayman’s
hotspots to his passengers. “It is very cool when you see people happy
after taking a flight, it makes me happy,” he said. “There is nothing like a
