While
speculation continues to grow about who will run in the 2004 General Elections
this coming November, another issue is arising over just who is entitled to
run. For the first time in its history, the Cayman Islands might see a
number of candidates who were not born here, and who are not of Caymanian
heritage, seeking political office at the polls. Many citizens of this
country seem unsure of the statutory qualifications for a person

Cayman Islands will crown a new beauty queen, when the 2004 Miss Cayman
Islands pageant takes place at the Lions Centre this Saturday at 7 pm.
This is the 7th year that the pageant has been organised by the Ministry of
