C&W Fights ICTA
Cable & Wireless (C&W) is to fight the recent ruling by the Information and
Communications Technology Authority (ICTA) that forced the telecom company to
raise some of its prices earlier this month. A reliable source told

Pensioners Get Together For Party

second annual Open House for Pensioners was held at the Public Service
Pensions Board (PBSB) offices on Tuesday, offering the retirees a chance to
mingle with old friends, and to collect their photo identification cards.

Police Issue Cyclists Warning
The Royal Cayman Islands Police (RCIP) issued a warning to all cyclists
travelling on Cayman’s public roads to adhere to the Rules of the Road or face
heavy fines. The Rules of the Road for cyclists include complying
with all traffic signals; indicating with a hand signal when turning;
travelling on the left side of the road; having a light and reflectors when
riding at night; not travelling with more than one person on a bicycle; not
riding across a pedestrian crossing; and not riding on the curb (sidewalk)...

PO flooded with undeliverable mail
Incorrect
postal addresses have recently been causing problems for the Postal Services
and the department has informed the public that as of 31 May, all
undeliverable items will be returned to senders. Deputy Postmaster
General Anthony Williams explained, “We’ve been receiving large quantities of
mail that is undeliverable. The main problem is that it’s being sent with
street and building addresses rather than PO Box numbers.”...

it did soon lead to a life long passion for Prudence ‘Sugar’ Evans.
