Roads Authority Close To Reality
A National Roads Authority (NRA), a separate entity from Public Works that
plans and manages the roads in the Cayman Islands, is moving closer to reality
and could commence operation as soon as eight to ten weeks from now.
Minister of Works, the Hon Gilbert McLean, mentioned the NRA when he addressed
the Chamber of Commerce monthly luncheon gathering at the Wharf Restaurant
last week, and gave further details to Cayman Net News in a telephone

Maritime Authority Gets To Work
Former
Deputy Financial Secretary, A Joel Walton started his new role as Chief
Executive Officer (designate) of the proposed Cayman Islands Maritime
Administration Authority on 1 May. Bringing 11 years of experience
managing and developing the shipping registry, Mr Walton and his team are
working hard to have everything in place so that the Maritime Administration
Authority will be fully functional by 1 July...

Person of the Day - Raymond Cummings
Meeting
and helping people all day long keeps Raymond Cummings happy.
His job as a security officer on Seven Mile Beach means he is in constant
contact with visitors to the Cayman Islands. “I love chatting to people
