Hospital CEO Quit
Former
Health Services Authority (HSA) CEO Michael Elliott terminated his own
employment with Government, the Minster of Health Services, the Hon Gilbert
McLean, told Cayman Net News (CNN) on Tuesday. Mr McLean provided the
information in writing to a series of questions posed by CNN concerning Mr
Elliott and the HSA. Mr Elliott suddenly left his position on 31 March,

Missing Teenager
Police
officers are growing more concerned for the welfare of 14-year-old Taejsha-Rae
Solomon, who was last seen on Friday evening, 7 May in the downtown George
Town area. Taejsha is described as having light brown skin, 5ft 6 inches
tall and weighs 135lbs. Anyone with information is asked to contact the
George Police Station at 949-4222.
Chairman of Cayman Islands Development Bank Resigns
Chairman
of the Board of the Cayman Islands Development Bank (CIDB), Andre Iton,
resigned his position in a letter to the Board of Directors dated last
Thursday 6 May, he has confirmed. The resignation took effect
immediately, according to Mr Iton. Mr Iton, who had served in the
Chairman capacity for two years, indicated that he was frustrated that the
bank had not progressed the way he thought it would...

Mark Scotland announces Bodden Town candidacy
In
a meeting at the Bodden Town Civic Centre on Wednesday night, 15-year Public
Works Department veteran Mark Scotland was due to officially announce his
candidacy to run for public office in the November general elections.
Bodden Town United Democratic Party (UDP) incumbent MLAs Hon Gilbert McLean
and Hon Roy Bodden were also due to be at the meeting to announce that Mr
