Pilar Bush Quits
Cayman's
Acting Director of Tourism, Pilar Bush, has resigned, Cayman Net News has
learned. Although the Ministry of Tourism did not confirm the
development, it is believed that Ms Bush resigned as many as three weeks ago.

Women Take Charge of HSA
Four
senior appointments were made to the Health Services Authority (HSA)
management team, Chairman Stephen Scott announced this week. The appointments
became effective on 3 May. Eloise Reid, who has served as Acting Chief
Executive Officer of the HSA since the resignation of former CEO Michael
Elliott from the post on 31 March, was established in the position for the

Budget Series Starts Tuesday
A daily multi-part series analysing the Cayman Islands 2004/05 Budget begins
running in Cayman Net News on Tuesday. The series will take a in-depth
look at the budget elements broken down by various ministries, offering
analysis on each. Besides presenting the budgets of the five ministries
Cabinet members, the series will also include segments on the budgets of the
Financial Secretary, the Attorney General and the Chief Secretary. The
Financial Secretary Hon George McCarthy delivered the Budget Address to the
Legislative Assembly last Friday, and debate in the House began on Wednesday.
By statute, the budget must be passed by 30 June.
