The Ministry of Education, Human Resources and Culture recently donated CI $1,000 to the Panoramers, Cayman’s well-known steel pan band, to help with the costs of their trip to England at the end of July.  Bandmaster Earl LaPierre thanked the ministry for the much-needed donation and said excitement is building for the trip: “As a band, we are looking forward to spreading Caymanian culture.” ... read more...


Mac Criticises Local Radio Call-in Talk Shows In Assembly

Cayman has complied with international code

The Cayman Islands Shipping Registry has now complied with the International Maritime Organisation’s International Ship and Port Facility Security Code, which came into effect on 1 July.  The purpose of the ISPS Code is to enhance maritime security and implement requirements through which ships, shipping companies, and port facilities can co-operate to detect and deter acts that are a threat to security in the international maritime transport sector... read more...
