Cement shortage
The Cayman Islands has experienced a major shortage of cement over the past
week, angering some of the local contractors who rely on a steady supply of
the necessary building material. Joseph Bailey, a Sales Representative
for Cox Lumber, said this last shortage represented the fifth time this year
that the Island’s cement plant did not have supplies ready for the store...

Public Works Department (PWD) is taking action to remove coconut tree limbs at
the junction between Hirst Road and Shamrock Road which residents had
