A writ filed in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands against the Health Services Authority (HSA) by its former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michael Elliott has been served. The writ number 406 of 2004 was filed on 9 September by the law firm of Quin and Hampson
on behalf of Mr Elliott. The plaintiff claimed he was employed by the HSA
to act as its Chief Executive Officer for three years...

Imports fall after Ivan
Collector of Customs, Carlon Powery
has confirmed that there has been a reduction in the importation of food,
tobacco and alcoholic products after the passage of hurricane Ivan but there
has been a marked increase in building materials and hardware products. During an interview with
Cayman Net News Mr. Powery said; “There is also a fall in revenue in
the two single biggest duty items, namely diesel and gasoline.”...
