Cruise ships back

The much anticipated cruise ship
tourists returned to the capital George Town this week, when two vessels, the
Inspiration, with a total of 2,315 passengers, and the Imagination, with 2,164
passengers, anchored in the harbour on Monday 1 November.
The passengers were ferried to and from the South Terminal as the main North
Terminal is still undergoing restoration work...

Generator May be Cause of Deaths
Police are working on the theory that two bodies found at an apartment complex in Randyke
Gardens last week could have died as a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.
The police could not confirm their suspicion but said a generator was found on
the first floor of the apartment and there is a possibility that the fumes could
have poisoned the two people...

The
Cayman Islands National Museum has sustained major damage as a result of
Ivan’s onslaught and is unlikely to open until the end of November. The Museum
Gift Shop however has already opened for business. After many people
were asking for Cayman Islands flags, Jamie Azan said the Gift Shop has a
plentiful stock and currently the only place selling the nation’s official
flag...

Postal service keeps current with the mail
Despite
the indefinite closure of the Seven Mile Beach (SMB) post office, due to
extensive hurricane damage and the fact that some post offices are still
without power, the postal service has managed to keep processing mail since
shortly after the passing of Ivan. Postal services on Grand Cayman and
the Sister Islands have now been restored and residents are getting their
letters and parcels on a regular basis once again...

As
a security officer with Sentinel Security Services, Anthony says he loves his
job, which involves guarding the Kirk Freeport shops in George Town. “I’m a very happy person,” says Anthony, who originally comes from Jamaica, but has lived in the Cayman Islands for ten years. “I love watching the sunset. Sometimes I like to go for a walk or a jog.”
