More MC woes as report is filed in US
Following the award of the controversial debris removal contract to MC Restoration,
Cayman Net News has been approached by several individuals and organisations seeking both published and unpublished information in relation to the contract in question. Now, according to information made available to Cayman Net News,
a report has since been filed with the US Department of Justice by a private
investigative agency in Miami, alleging possible breaches of US law by the

Rotary clubs get together to help around the Island
The
Islands’ service clubs have all worked very hard in the wake of Ivan to raise
much-needed funds for repairs as well as volunteering to help out where needed.
In some cases the service clubs have been working together and soon after the
storm, the three Presidents of the Grand Cayman Rotary Clubs decided to form a
joint Rotary Hurricane Relief Fund and work together to help the community

have up to six new fire tenders within the next four to six months. Chief Fire

No decision made on debris post MC Restoration
The US-based debris removal company MC Restoration will cease the collection of debris at the end of this month, if the 300,000 cubic yards to which the company was committed to collect has been removed by then.
