Rain stops study in George Town

With more than two months to go before the rains really start in the Cayman Islands, children from George Hicks High School Years 7, 8 and 9, along with John Gray High School students — Years 11 and 12, were sent home on Friday, (18 March) at ten o’clock in the morning.
Classes were cancelled due to flooding at both the Walker’s Road school sites.

Trailer ‘cities’ still growing as more tenants move in

official handover of keys to residents of trailer homes took place on Wednesday,
16 March at the Fairbanks Trailer Home Village. The arrival of trailers or
mobile homes on the Cayman Islands as a temporary solution to the issues of
homelessness caused by Ivan has come in for both praise and criticism.
