Health Services Authority CEO resigns

No major overhaul for country’s National Hurricane Plan

According to Deputy Chief Secretary Donovan Ebanks, there are going to be no major changes to the country’s Hurricane Plan. What changes there will be are going to concern debris management and temporary housing, two issues which were not formerly part of the plan in the past, and Mr Ebanks said provisions will be made for these two things to be included but he said, “no major overhaul of the plan is expected.”...  read more...


Dispute over Little Cayman desalination plant

Little Cayman needs a desalination plant, the Hon Julianna O’Connor Connolly, Minister for Planning, Communications, District Administration and IT, told Cayman Net News. Ms O’Connor Connolly said that Cabinet had approved her request for the Ministry of Community Services, Youth, Sport and Gender Affairs, which has responsibility for the Water Authority, to do a feasibility study for this desalination plant ... read more...
