Human trafficking reaches Cayman

Last month some 20 men and women estimated to be in their early twenties are alleged to have used Grand Cayman as a transitory country to enter the United States illegally using false Philippines passports.  Cayman Net News has learned that when Cayman Airways flight KX200 from Grand Cayman to Tampa landed on 7 February, the pilot announced that the US Customs and Border Protection would be boarding the plane.. read more...

Trouble in the ranks with unfair fares

Disquiet is growing among George Town taxi drivers, who are concerned about not getting a big enough slice of the cruise-ship passenger pie. Kenneth Colmore Ebanks, President of Taxi Tour Operators Association Cayman Islands, said, “We are planning on a meeting within the next couple of weeks, and the media will be informed after the meeting.
