Drugs in prison

Attempts to smuggle drugs into Northward Prison remains a
pressing issue for the prison service with yet more recent arrests of smugglers.
The recent drug related shootings and subsequent arrest of some of those
involved in the Islands’ drug trade is likely to make a difficult job even worse
for the prison staff when the latest alleged drug offenders find themselves
behind bars....

Red Cross trains students in first aid

A group of 11 students completed the Standard First Aid
with AED (Automated External Defibrillator) course that takes place over two
evenings each week, upstairs at Red Cross building in George Town. The
courses take place between two and three times a month, and are put on by
Training Manager at Cayman Islands Red Cross, Peter Hughes. The course

Eel attacks young tourist at Stingray City’s sandbar
A
young visitor to the Cayman Islands last weekend had his holiday drastically
cut short after a horrific attack from a moray eel at the sandbar at Stingray
City. The eel tore at the young boy’s arm puncturing one of his main arteries
and the child was rushed into emergency surgery here and then again overseas
after an airlift to the United States. The
