‘Show Me’ to perform Brac charity concert

The Cuban all-girl band, Show Me, will be visiting Cayman Brac this weekend to give a charity performance at the Divi Tiara Beach Resort, on Saturday evening, 7 May. The proceeds of the performance will be going to the Brac’s Kirkconnell Community Care Centre. The band has become known here for their eclectic Caribbean fusion style, combining elements of Salsa, Meringue, and reggae.

One in three students say they know all about gang activity

HSA considers cardiac cath lab

The Health Services Authority has announced that it has been considering proposals for a cardiac cath lab in the wake of reports by two leading doctors in Cayman Net News that a cardiac catheterisation lab is critical to saving lives and preventing heart damage from heart attacks, though an approximate date for installation has not been given.

Schools combine for fundraising concert
A spring fundraising concert took place at the First Baptist Church on Crewe Road, recently, in lieu of this year’s National Children’s Festival of the Arts. The concert was a joint effort between the John Gray High School and Wesleyan Christian Academy.
The proceeds for the concert went to recovery funds for both schools as John
Gray suffered major structural damage, and the Wesleyan Christian Academy lost
its church building...

Person of the Day - Faith Foster

Home schooling children takes a lot of hard work and dedication, says Faith Foster, who is teaching three children – Elizabeth (aged 13), Jason (aged 11) and Katherine (aged 8). Her eldest child, Jeremy is now at Pensacola Christian College, having been home-schooled after 2 years at primary school.
