Cuban refugee waits on decision for political asylum

In an emotional reunion, family members of Cuban refugee Juan Guerra met
with him after three tense days of waiting after their arrival in the Cayman
Islands from the United States on 18 May. Mr Guerra’s aunt, Teresa Riba Guerra, and cousin, Jose Riba, arrived in
Grand Cayman from New York to help him apply for political asylum as well as
see him. Mrs Guerra stated that she cried a lot when she saw her nephew....

Seventh-day Adventist convert under canvas
The Seventh-Day Adventist Church held a three-week evangelistic campaign
under a canvassy cathedral on the grounds of the church in Savannah, Grand
Cayman recently. Pastor Claudius Morgan, evangelist for the East Caribbean
Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, conducted the “Good News Crusade for
Christ”. Pastor Morgan, who is a former calypso singer, sang nightly in the
