The Elections Office has stated that there was misleading information given
to some voters in West Bay on Election Day, 11 May 2005. Voters told by Party representatives at help desks located at the 300-foot
boundary outside polling stations in that district that they were not on the
voters list, should also have been told by these representatives to verify
this information with the Election Field Officer inside the polling station...

Cuban family won’t give up on relative

After a nerve-wracking week of waiting, Teresa Riba Guerra and Jose Riba
the aunt and cousin of Juan Guerra have not received an answer to his request
for political asylum from Immigration. Mrs Riba Guerra and Mr Riba arrived in
Grand Cayman last week from the United States to help Mr Guerra apply for
political asylum and provide him moral support. On Wednesday, 18 May they were

Little Cayman gets reprieve from drought

Little Cayman finally got some rain Friday morning – but not enough, say
residents. For the first four months of this year, the Islands had less than 2
inches of rain, according to MRCU representative on the Island, Mark Scott. A
few short bursts brought 0.7 inches on the 7 to 8 May, and 0.6 on 19 to 20
May, which was small reprieve from the relentless drought experienced by
residents, both human and animal....

Art Teacher and Swim Coach at the
combined Creek and Spot Bay Primary school on Cayman Brac Susan Hundt says:
