Work permit rules relaxed
The need to respond with sensitivity to employers engaged in the reconstruction process has directed new action by the Immigration Department and Cabinet.
Newly sanctioned adjustments in work permit rules are to be put in place

Cuban migrant’s family appeals asylum decision over deportation

Relatives of a Cuban national who applied for asylum in the Cayman Islands have confirmed that his initial application has been turned down, but that he is appealing this decision.
Juan Guerra arrived on Cayman Brac with nine other men on Wednesday 13 April.
His group and a group of nineteen Cubans were transferred to Grand Cayman on 20
