Former Cabinet Ministers of the United Democratic Party (UDP) administration, Roy Bodden and Gilbert McLean, have reportedly resigned from the party. CIIB’s Hong Kong office may close

The Cayman Islands Investment Bureau’s (CIIB) and its overseas offices are to be reviewed according to the Ministry of Development and Commerce. It is possible the Hong Kong office will close and plans for the one in Dubai have already been put on hold. Eighty percent of world’s hedge funds in the Cayman Islands

The number of hedge funds registered with the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) has increased by approximately 23 per cent over those registered in the first quarter of 2004.
