School Walk-a-thon raises $18,000 for books
Savannah Primary School held a Walk-a-thon to raise funds for replacement
of the school’s library books, which were destroyed during Hurricane Ivan. Despite the drizzling rain, more than 50 children and their parents turned
up, early on Saturday morning for the Walk-a-thon, that began at Seven Mile
Shops, George Town, and ended at the public beach playground, near the Sea
Grape restaurant on West Bay Road...
