Cracking down on exploitation
In an ongoing campaign to clamp down on worker exploitation, the
Immigration Department rounded up another 18 foreigners on Eastern Avenue on
11 and 12 July. Since Hurricane Ivan, a number of Caymanians have started
construction, janitorial and gardening companies and received work permits.

Rise in Illegal immigrants an increasing problem
Cracking down on crime in the days ahead will also involve trying to nab

Driver found guilty - fined $30,000 for causing death by dangerous driving
A Canadian national was fined $30,000 last week after being found guilty of
causing death by dangerous driving in September 2003 contrary to section 67 of
Traffic Law. The defendant was driving along West Bay Road from George
Town when she missed her turn and collided with a Honda vehicle, which resulted
in the death of the driver of that vehicle...
