Jailed in Cuba For Ten Years

Carlos Powery Ebanks claims he was arrested by the Cuban State Security in 1980 and spent the next ten years as a political prisoner inside Cuban jails. Patrol boats needed to catch ganja smugglers

Baby’s fight for life needs support

Carlisea Gilzene is a Jamaican national who gave birth to a 24 week old baby whose birth weight was only 1lb. 7oz, on 29 July. The infant’s name is Jo-Anna Gilzene and she is still in intensive care. The doctors would like to have the baby transferred to Miami but the mother’s insurance will not cover the cost.
