Bosses Face Court Over Permit Abuse

Dump encroaches on private land

The George Town dump is now taking up 20 to 30 feet of surrounding property – areas that are not Government-owned. Additionally, owners of the surrounding properties are not receiving payment for use of the land. HSA makes monthly commitment of $220,000 for employee’s pensions

The Health Services Authority (HSA) is in arrears with payments to suppliers and is having difficulties meeting some of its financial obligations; however, it has placed an immediate priority on meeting employees’ pensions payments.
