Housing Boss Fired
On Wednesday 14 September, National Housing Community
Development Trust (NHCDT) Manager, Roger Bodden, was fired from his post with
immediate effect. Based on the contents of his dismissal letter, the
primary reason Mr Bodden appeared to be removed from his post was because he

Parrot T-shirts help birds find a home
Two local participants in National Trust Parrot
Monitoring Programme, Jenny Nickolov, and Marnie Laing, had the bright idea of
helping the national bird population, the Grand Cayman parrot, recover after
Hurricane Ivan, by selling T-shirts. Money from the T-shirts will be used to provide bird
houses and bird feeders. The houses and feeders will be placed around Grand
Cayman, and are intended to help the parrots...

Immigration Law to be reviewed
The Cabinet has appointed an Immigration Review Team to
look at shortcomings in the Immigration Law, which will then be used as a
blueprint for amendments. “We will be taking a look at a number of provisions in
the Immigration law that have anomalies, omissions or other problems that may

Bermuda Police loosen grip on the Dimitri Pappas suicide verdict
Bermuda Police are now in the United States talking with
the parents of deceased Dimitri Pappas about their son’s death. And this time the police are no longer talking suicide
but are, as they described it, discussing other theories. Well-known accountant and businessman, Dimitri
Pappas, was discovered dead in Bermuda on 20 July 2005. He was found hanging
