Tenants Fight Back
Baseless
eviction notices, security deposits unaccounted for, exorbitant surcharges for
late rent, properties that are not maintained by landlords, broken rent
agreements, increased rents midway agreements, substandard accommodation have
led to a growing number of lawsuits within the local rental market. The
problems began in the wake of Hurricane Ivan, and now more than a year later
there is little sign of a turn back...

in high quality women’s shoes, is celebrating her boutique’s 22nd anniversary. Since opening the first store at Elizabethan Square, Le
Classique opened two more stores over the years, one at West Shore Plaza and

Pensions office pursues Henderson
The owner of Office Pavilion, Scott Henderson, did not
show up to the first court hearing on 4 October where he faced 78 charges for
failing to pay pensions for employees. Mr Henderson’s attorney, Clyde Allen,
was called into the court and the case was combined with another of Mr
Henderson’s, Cayman Flooring and Kitchen Specialists Ltd., which has 86
charges against it related to non-payment of pensions...

New Firearms Law could mean two decades behind bars for offenders

new bill to strengthen the judiciary and sentencing could see some offenders

Jewish community celebrates Rosh Hashanah
Local Jewish residents had the opportunity to celebrate
Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year with visiting Rabbis from the Chabad
Lubavitch organization. Rabbis Daniel Denburg and Zalman Shneur, from new
York, hosted an orthodox service, song and kosher food at the Marriott Resort
Grand Cayman on 3 October, the eve of the celebration. There were numerous
medical students at St Matthews University...
