Illegal turtle catch costs men $9,000 after court appearance

Protecting the environment has taken a serious turn with the imposition of significant fines on those caught illegally taking marine life. Illegally catching three turtles cost three men $3,000 each when the fines were imposed in Summary Court on Cayman Brac 7 October.
