Nightclubs face the music
The future of two of the Cayman Islands’ leading nightclubs is in the hands of the Liquor Licensing Board. Objections to the licences of the Matrix and the Octopus are before the board, which is expected to make its ruling on the matter this week.

Stigma and discrimination against those living with HIV still a problem
Jennison Nunez, President of the Cayman AIDS Foundation (CAF), wanted to ensure that the voices of Persons Living With HIV and AIDS (PLWHAs) in the Cayman Islands were heard on World AIDS Day 2005.
However, he reported that the fear of stigma, discrimination and repercussions to them and family members, prevented them from doing so.

Northward
Seven residents of Cayman Brac were taken to Northward Prison following Summary Court at the Aston Rutty Civic Centre Monday 28 November. Six will be sentenced 1 December on Grand Cayman, and one received sentence by the presiding Magistrate Margaret Ramsey Hale.
