CICS to purchase digital mammography machine
The Cayman Islands Cancer Society kicked off a
fundraising campaign to purchase a state of the art digital mammography
machine, which is a huge step forward in the early detection and survival for
breast cancer patients at the Brasserie Restaurant on Tuesday 13 December. The Medical Director of the Cancer Society, Dr Sook Yin
said they have an aggressive six-month timeline to raise $300,000 to purchase

The Health Services Authority is assisting parents and
prospective parents with important information and guidance in an eight-week
training, beginning next year. Some of the topics to be covered are Nutrition for
Pregnancy, Dental Care, Labour, Delivery and Pain Relief, Posture & Body

Traffic laws are fine, but roads an issue says NRA
MANAGING Director of the National Roads Authority (NRA),
Colford Scott, said that the current laws are adequate to deal with the

“AS a young Bracker, Deanira Brown wants to stay on the Island and has applied
for several jobs. She went to Costa Rica for two years to be a Spanish teacher
but ran out of money before she completed the course.
“Now I want to stay here. I miss my home. I’d like to see more jobs on the Brac
because a lot of young people want to come back,” she says.
