George Hicks raises CI $8,800 for Oxfam

Students from George Hicks High School recently raised CI$ 8,800 for developing communities in poor countries of the world, by participating in the international charity, Oxfam’s Unwrapped scheme. The scheme raises funds for projects in poorer countries such as Ethiopia, Chad, Bangladesh, and Haiti. It is called Unwrapped because it is a novel way of sending a gift to a friend. Minister of Education, Hon Alden McLaughlin has announced that he is focusing on discipline in schools.
