Cuban migration increases
With
more than two dozen Cuban migrants reaching the shores of the Cayman Islands
over the Christmas holiday there are concerns that the recent decline in the
number of migrants coming here is over and that the specific guidelines
introduced this year to stem the flow are no longer having an impact.

Abandoned buildings concern residents
A
number of residents have raised concerns about some of the buildings that were
damaged during Hurricane Ivan last year which have still not been repaired and
have been abandoned. Complainants have said they are worried that these
buildings have become havens for drug pushers and users, as well as being a
health hazard. Residents are concerned that the buildings could provide
the ideal cover for criminals...
