Eight more illegal aliens leave Cayman over holidays
The
Immigration Department got its Christmas present when eight more illegal
aliens left the Islands over the yuletide holiday, pushing the number of
people who have overstayed their time on the Island to have taken up the
Department’s amnesty on certain immigration infractions to 46. Chief Immigration Officer Franz Manderson told

Police to carry out covert party operations
The Royal Cayman Islands Police Service (RCIPS)
will be carrying out undercover operations at known parties on New Year’s Eve
this year to make sure that the hosts are not breaking the law by selling

Counterfeiters
are slipping through fake $50 and $100 CI banknotes into businesses that may be
less then diligent during the busy holiday season. Restaurants, bars and other
businesses that operate at night and have low light are especially vulnerable,
because staff are unable to scrutinize the money handed to them in such
