New Year’s first baby born early

Angelique Esther Hurlston was the first baby to be born in the Cayman Islands in the New Year to proud parents Ledis and Hardie Hurlston.  “My wife was scheduled to have a C-section on 20 January, but on Saturday night she started having contractions and the baby was pushing to come out so we knew the baby had decided to come early,” said Mr Hurlston. “So we called the doctor and he said to come to the hospital.”... read more...


Cruisers outnumber local residents

Matrix team returning for new tour of duty

Person of the Day -Yvonne Kinglock

Deputy Principal of the Lighthouse School in Prospect, Carla Bodden, finds her job challenging and rewarding at this school where children have special needs.  A mother of two, one of her greatest achievements at the school is the grow-box programme where the students are taught agriculture.
