Dominican Republic files complaint with UK
The
Dominican Republic is filing a complaint with the UK Government for alleged
human rights violations of four construction workers who were recently forced
to leave the Island after they complained their employer was exploiting them,
according to Martin Diaz, who was assisting the workers with their complaint
in the Cayman Islands. The complaint has been filed with the UK and not
the Immigration Department here ...

Schools still face more gang trouble
Four students have been suspended from John Gray High School because they were caught involved in the painting of gang-related graffiti, according to Education Minister, Hon Alden McLaughlin, who said that since the beginning of the school term, there have been “four instances of gang-related graffiti” at the School and he added that he would chair the Committee on Discipline and Security.” ...

affecting Cayman

the same week that twenty Cuban migrants were repatriated from the Cayman
Islands, fifteen Cubans were sent back to Cuba from the US in a case that has
sparked renewed criticism of the US Government’s wet-foot/dry-foot policy.
