Ministers oppose cabinet
The
religious leaders in the Cayman Islands say they are disappointed that the
Government did not reverse its decision to allow 3,200 gay cruisers to visit
Grand Cayman but they are respectful of Cabinet’s rights. President of
the Cayman Islands Ministers Association, Pastor Al Ebanks, said the
delegation of pastors who met with Cabinet members on Monday expected the
turnaround of the Navigator of the Seas

Claims by the owners of Vibe FM and Spin FM that they are ranked at number one have drawn reaction from the dms
Broadcasting group, which runs three radio stations. Not least because
there are no official statistics on radio listeners throughout the Cayman
Islands and according to Don Seymour without that information, making top spot
claims is meaningless...

UN official visits Cubans held in the Cayman Islands
A representative from the United Nations High Commission of Refugees (UNHCR)
visited the twenty-one Cuban asylum seekers in Grand Cayman last week and

Human rights laws need to be established
According
to Hon Alden McLaughlin, Minister of Education and Chairman of the newly
formed Human Rights Committee, there is a lack of the requisite legislation
regarding Human Rights in this country. Mr McLaughlin said that at present Cayman has no legislation to guarantee Human Rights protection and it has “only a provision in law against discrimination.” ...
