More Cubans still coming

A dozen Cubans who were left by their fellow migrants on Point of Sand beach on Little Cayman for several hours were back on board their boat Friday afternoon as it was towed out to sea by a Government vessel.  Several tourists on the Island reportedly spotted the twelve Cubans on the beach on Friday, and they were also seen wandering inland. Cruisers rise as stay-overs fall

The Cayman Islands in 2005 recorded its second highest cruise tourist arrivals in the last five years, while stay-over numbers decreased by more than 50 percent for the same period.  In the latest statistics published by the Department of Tourism (DOT), cruise visitors increased by over 768,142 while air arrivals or stay-over tourists declined by 186,286 from 2000 to 2005... read more...
