Riot at Home raises concerns as girls sent to prison

An incident at the Frances Bodden Home recently has sparked concerns over the need for more suitable, safekeeping facility for young girls at risk.  On 27 February five of the nine resident girls at the Frances Bodden Home threw chairs and set off a fire extinguisher.  According to Dan Bacallao, Chief Executive Officer of Children and Youth Services (CAYS) the incident “revolved around the girls not wanting to follow instructions.”.. read more...


Prices up seven percent

The cost of living in the Cayman Islands increased by a whopping 7 percent in 2005. Child of the Day - Anjalie Panchu
