Education funds sacrificed for road

Both sides of the Legislative Assembly (LA) gave the seal of approval for the Esterley Tibbetts Highway to have an additional $7.4 million for its phase 3. Also receiving the LA’s blessings Wednesday was $2.57 million to add to the $1 million for gazetted claims of lands acquired for the highway extension. Students want their computers back

The students and faculty of Savannah Primary School are desperately missing their computers which were stolen from the school recently. Teachers and other staff at the school, which has 273 students, ages four-to 11-years-old, report that, prior to the theft, each student had the use of a computer when working in the schools’ Computer Lab.... read more..
