Another plane needed for CAL Express

Cayman Airways Express Service needs at least one more aircraft to service the Sister Islands, it has been suggested. Maxine McCoy-Moore, Office Manager of McCoy’s Fishing and Diving Lodge on Little Cayman, echoed the opinion of many on the Island when she said that the scheduled flights are always booked and customers were having trouble booking seats six months in advance. ... read more..


Prison improvement coming

A number of changes to improve various aspects of the Prison Service are to be announced in the near future, in advance of which HMP Northward in general and its rehabilitation programmes in particular are under review. Police check safety of buses

The RCIPS this Wednesday, 29 March carried out an operation designed to ensure the safety of people who use the bus network.Between 5:45am and 8:30am four officers from Bodden Town spot-checked fifteen buses in the Lower Valley area. Persons wishing to obtain government contracts will now have to satisfy certain criteria and compete with other potential contractors to provide quality service at competitive rates, according to Minister of Education Hon Alden McLaughlin.
