A disaster recovery company has filed US$2.6 million suit against the owners of the Hyatt Regency Grand Cayman for drying work that was done to its property in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan. Best of Children’s Festival of the Arts

The final concerts of the National Children’s Festival of the Arts, organized by the Education Department, took place on Thursday and Friday 30 and 31 March, at the First Baptist Church on Crewe Road, George Town. Dengue fever threat real for Cayman

Leader of Government Business, Hon Kurt Tibbetts, said there was now a “strong worldwide emergence, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean” of the dengue fever. Leader of Government Business hails Jamaican leaders

One day after Hon Portia Simpson-Miller was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Jamaica, Leader of Government Business, Hon Kurt Tibbetts, paid a formal tribute to her. Man charged in CNB robbery

A man appeared in court on 30 March where he faced six charges relating to the Cayman National Bank (CNB) robbery, which took place on Friday, 10 March at the Centennial Towers branch in West Bay.Eluno George Liking, a 25-year-old Jamaican National, who resides in West Bay, was charged with robbery, possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition, possession of an unlicensed firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence, discharging a firearm in a public place, and causing grievous bodily harm.... read more..

A descendant of well-known seafaring family the Watlers, Honduran-born Kencer Watler came to the Cayman Islands in 1997 to make the land of his forefather his new home. “I love the place, the people here are very friendly,” he says.
