Lighthouse students ‘put on the Ritz’ for school project

Students from Years 2, 3 and 4, of the Lighthouse School recently toured the Ritz-Carlton hotel. The school trip began when Virginia Foster, an employee of the Cayman Public Library, suggested to Susan Whittaker, a teacher at the Lighthouse School, that the children might like to tour the hotel with a view to using what they saw as the basis for paintings and poetry... read more..

New tri-island dive boat runs into early hitches

A new live-aboard dive vessel, the Nekton Rorqual, made its first commercial tour of the Cayman Islands last week, taking fifteen divers to all three Islands. Operated by Nekton Diving Cruises, this new dive service, which carries a maximum of thirty-four passengers, began operations 29 April.
