Unemployment Rate Down Due to a 22.5 per cent growth in employment in the Cayman Islands in 2005, the unemployment rate fell to a 10-year low in 2005 - 3.5 per cent, according to Financial Secretary Hon Kenneth Jefferson. Staff hassles over electrical trade examinations One local businessman, Tony Faulkner, is exasperated with the Electrical Trade Licensing Board, because it is denying expatriates from sitting the wireman's examination. Faulkner said he hired three Philippine men as electrician's helpers to assist his electricians in his growing business.
